1. Write a two page, typed, double spaced, 12 pt. font, one inch margins paper fully answering the following:  Examine the relationship between ethics and a current controversial issue by comparing consequentialism OR deontology OR utilitarianism to ONE of the following issues:

• Euthanasia and/or Physician Assisted Suicide

• Abortion  

• Artificial Intelligence  
• Climate or Geo-Engineering

• Whistleblowing

• Genetically Modified Foods

• Government regulation of content on the Internet

• Flat tax rate for all citizens

• Online learning

• Stem cell research

• Performance enhancing drugs/procedures for athletes

NOTE: You are only choosing ONE of the above issues!  A minimum of three sources, your text and the McGinn/Alcorn essays can be two of them, need to be utilized in your response; a cover page and references page must also be included (the cover page and works cited page are not one of your two pages).  For those of you utilizing online sources, review the “website reliability” document below.  Be sure and cite all resources that you use utilizing APA 6th Edition documentation format (don’t forget page numbers and running head!).  This is to be turned in, I.e. placed in the WRITING ASSIGNMENT TWO DROPBOX below, no later than 11:55:00pm on Sunday, March 1st.
