Identify one example of how Lean principles are used in your work or in your everyday life. This example may either be from explicitly applied Lean principles or even passively applied Lean principles.
Think about your current work environment (either home, office, warehouse, or other work environments) and provide examples of waste(s) that you see in your organization (or an organization with which you are familiar, perhaps a supplier or former employer), discuss the impact of these wastes on the organizations operations.
JIT has been attributed to causing new waste for companies just beginning to implement it. Describe one scenario in which failure to fully realize the effects of JIT can lead to increased waste. Base your answer on what you know and have researched or learned about inventory and transportation management.
Do some research of your own into a real world example of when Lean tools/techniques failed. Describe in detail what went wrong.
